This History Vault collection consists of 37 collections from the records of federal government agencies, including Department of Justice Classified Subject Files on Civil Rights, 1914 - 1949, New Deal Agencies, Records of the Tuskegee Airmen, President Truman's Committee on Civil Rights, records from the civil rights files of the Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter and Bush administrations, FBI files on Martin Luther King, Jr., the Black Panther Party and other civil rights organizations, and records of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. The collection includes PDF images of correspondence, reports, photographs, telegrams, advertisements, and pamphlets, among others. One may search by browsing the collections or browsing events, through a basic search or advanced search, or by person, subject, agency, or organization within the search results. Results may be sorted by date or relevance and records may be e-mailed or included in a bibliography created through RefWorks or EndNote.
