This database indexes all Year Books, the law reports of medieval England, for 1268 through 1535 (over 22,000 reports), with paraphrasing for all reports from 1399 through 1535 (over 6,900 reports). The Year Books are the principal source materials for the development of legal doctrines, concepts, and methods for the period during which English common law developed into recognizable form.
