Law Library User's Guide: Rare Book Room / Special Collections

A guide to the services, collections, locations, policies and rules of the Law Library.

Rare or irreplaceable books, manuscripts and special collections are kept in the Rare Book Room. Of special interest are the Leist Collection of Roman and early German Law, and the Hammond Historical Collection. The Rare Book Room is located on the south side of Level 3 and has been designed to provide special climate control and fire protection for this valuable collection. Access to these materials is limited; inquiries should be directed to the Head of Special Collections. Books housed in the Rare Book Room are designated in InfoHawk by the location "Law Rare Book."
