Professional Responsibility: Disciplinary Actions

Introduction

State professional responsibility boards also issue disciplinary actions, such as reprimands, suspensions, or license revocations, against attorneys who violate the ethics rules. Attorney disciplinary actions are usually published in the state bar journals, shelved alphabetically on the 1st floor of the Law Library in the KF 200s. Unfortunately, disciplinary actions are rarely indexed, which hinders research. Many states also provide access to disciplinary actions through the state bar association's or the state judicial webpages.
