Printing is managed by the university's Information Technology Services (ITS), and therefore the Law Library is not able to provide technical assistance with printing. Instructions provided by ITS for RA printing are found in the document below.
Caution: If you are using free Lexis Advance printing, use the print function within that database to send documents to the dedicated printer in Room 134 of the Law Library. Click here for detailed directions on Lexis Advance printing. Do not use the browser print function, because your account will be charged.
A scanner is available behind the Reference Desk in the Law Library, near the printers. You may email scans to yourself (or others) from the scanner, but for larger jobs, save to a USB drive to avoid losing your scanned materials.
Faculty members and administrative assistants may request a Law Library copying account for their research assistants by contacting Kevin Burford, Circulation Manager, at 319-335-9104 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Dawn Banovitz, Administrative Services Manager, at 319-353-5305 or email@example.com.
You may need to make paper copies from microfiche or microfilm or printouts from CD-ROMs in the Law Library's Special Services audio-visual room (Room 130). You will need to bring written permission from the professor, which will be kept on file, in order to charge these to his/her account. For more information, please contact Dawn Banovitz, Adminstrative Services Manager, at 319-353-5305 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
