Registering for a Lexis account

Members of the UI College of Law community are eligible for access to Lexis by registering at Users will need to use a registration code, keyed to the University of Iowa College of Law and available  from Ted Potter in the Law Library, as detailed below.

It is strongly advised that users register using their email address.

Lexis Printing

Free Printing through Lexis  is available for some documents. The Lexis printer is located in Room 134 of the Law Library.

To print, select the Download icon in the top left corner of the document webpage. Then select Choose new settings, under Print (current settings), at the top of the list.

The Print window will open to the Basic Options tab. In that window, select LexisNexis Printer under Printer type, and then choose the 701953 - Library Room 134 option.


Lexis summer and post-graduation access

University of Iowa College of Law students may utilize their Lexis accounts during the summer for academic purposes, as well as work "at any law firm, government agency, court or other legal position, internship, externship, or clerkship."
