This guide covers common issues when accessing the Law Library's online resources.

Finding resources can sometimes be a research issue and not a technical issue. This page will guide you through common research issues and provide you with support when doing legal research online.

Trouble Finding Resources

"Why can't I find what I'm looking for?"

There are many ways to search for resources online. Although your first instinct may be to use Google, finding information this way doesn't always mean you can access these resources. You might encounter the following issues:

  • Find an article but it costs money to access.

  • Find a resource but you can't download the full text.

  • Find information that is not authoritative or credible.

  • Find information but it isn't recent or timely for your topic.

  • Find some information but there are better resources for your topic in other places.
